Education

Santa Ana places a strong emphasis on education, with its motto “Education First” reflecting a commitment to academic excellence and access. The city is served primarily by the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD), one of California’s largest districts, serving over 44,000 students across K–12, including traditional, fundamental, charter, and alternative schools. It hosts a diverse student body and offers specialized programs such as International Baccalaureate, early college placements, arts-focused curriculums, and career-technical education. Higher education is represented by Santa Ana College (community college) and nearby private vocational and academic institutions.
